Dubai Offshore Sailing Club
Dubai Offshore Sailing Club

Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) opened its doors in 1974 with little more than a barasti shade on the beach, a few small sailing boats and a collective desire to promote sailing to all nationalities across the Emirates.

Since these humble beginnings, DOSC has grown to host some of the best sailing opportunities in the Gulf. It is still a non-profit organization run by a team of enthusiastic volunteers, although now the Committee is supported by a team of full time employees to ensure that members enjoy the best possible sailing and leisure experience.

DOSC features a 150-berth marina for yachts and small keelboats with electrical connections and fresh running water. There is also a boatyard and a launching slipway to facilitate the smaller keelboats who wish to trailer sail and for those in need of maintenance. In addition, the hard offers the space and convenience to store your boat while essential maintenance is carried out.

For dinghies, there is an extensive paved dinghy park leading to a wash down area, slipway and a launching beach, all within the protection of the harbour wall. The members’ workshop, sail store and a bosun’s store for some of the more common dinghy parts make it easy to keep your dinghy at peak performance. To learn more, visit www.dosc.ae.
